Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams, usually consisting of six players each, are separated by a high net. The objective of the game is to score points by successfully hitting a ball over the net and into the opposing team’s court, while preventing the ball from touching the ground on their own side. Players use their hands and arms to hit the ball, and they can also use other parts of their body to keep it in play. The game is typically played indoors on a rectangular court, but it can also be played on a beach or outdoor setting, known as beach volleyball. Volleyball emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and coordination, as players must work together to set up attacks and defend against the opposing team’s shots. Points are scored when the ball lands in the opponent’s court, or if the opposing team fails to return the ball properly. The game has various formats and rules, including indoor, beach, and sitting volleyball, and is governed by organizations such as the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).
